One of our favorite events this summer was our Storytime field trip to Allis State Park. With the help of many fantastic youth volunteers we acted out the Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. After some songs and puppet play, kids also had the opportunity to walk through a Storywalk® of the Gruffalo put on display by Allis State Park. These kinds of immersive story experiences are great for early literacy, but also just a lot of fun! This was actually one of two Storytime field trips this summer, the other one being to the Roxbury Fish Culture Station. Thank you so much to both of these entities for hosting us!
