Registration for our 5-week spring LEGO Robotics Learning Session is officially open. Here are the details:
1) What is LEGO Robotics Club?
Our spring session of LEGO Robotics Club will be a 5-week program designed to be a fun introduction to LEGO robotics and programming. Participants will work primarily with LEGO Essentials sets which target elementary school-aged learners. Each week we will use these kits to create and program a different LEGO Robotics build.
2) Who is eligible to participate in this session?
In this session, we will have space for 12 participants in grades 1 – 5 (or home school equivalent). The target audience of this program will be those who have limited experience with robotics and programming. Children who have more experience with robotics and programming are still able to participate, but with the understanding that we will be working primarily with LEGO Essentials kits with a focus on relatively simple builds and programming. Available spots in the program will be filled on a first come, first serve basis with preference given to children who have not participated in a LEGO Robotics Session previously.
Since space is limited, we do ask that those registering are fully committed to being at all 5 sessions of our spring program (with unforeseen illness being an exception, of course).
3) What are the dates?
Every Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm beginning on Thursday, March 13th and ending on Thursday, April 10th. Our final session on April 10th will extend to 5 pm with an invitation to parents to come in and check out some robotics work!
